After months of intense competition around the globe, the eagerly anticipated FIFA eWorld Cup 2019™ gets under way on Friday 2 August at The O2 in London.

Millions of players started out with the release of FIFA 19 in September 2018 and with the culmination of July’s FIFA 19 Global Series Playoffs, the world’s top 32 players will vie for the right to call themselves the world’s best.

FIFA.com takes a look at Xbox’s Group B, which features a plethora of elite players – including none other than defending champion ‘MsDossary’.

The players

‘MsDossary’ – Xbox #2

Should ‘MsDossary’ lift the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019, he would become the first player to win back-to-back Grand Finals. The Saudi Arabian stormed to victory with a win against Belgium’s ‘StefanoPinna’ in the cross-console climax at The O2 in London last year. The British capital has proved a happy hunting ground for ‘MsDossary’, who claimed two FUT Champions Cup titles there this year alone. Will his luck in London continue in August?

‘DaXe’ – Xbox #3

It has been three months since ‘DaXe’, along with PlayStation team-mate ‘Maestro’, overcame stern competition and navigated France to victory at the inaugural FIFA eNations Cup in London to be named the top national team on the planet. Will déjà vu strike with the Frenchman tasting global glory again in London, this time at the FIFA eWorld Cup?

‘NRaseck’ – Xbox #6

Known for his consistency, ‘NRaseck’ has produced strong performances at the FUT Champions Cups this year, including reaching the console final of the Bucharest event in January. One of six Germans at the FIFA eWorld Cup, ‘NRaseck’ recorded a semi-final finish at the Global Series Playoffs, beating the likes of ‘MsDossary’ along the way and eventually bowing out to No1 seed ‘Tekkz’.

‘GoalMachine’ – Xbox #7

Making a return to the FIFA eWorld Cup, ‘GoalMachine’ is no stranger to pitting his wits against the world’s elite at the Grand Final. As his name suggests, ‘GoalMachine’ likes to play an attacking style, taking the game to his opponents. He is Canada’s sole representative among the 32 players competing in London this year and tasted victory at May’s ELEAGUE FIFA 19 Cup.

‘DullenMike’ – Xbox #10

Teenage whiz kid ‘DullenMike’ made history in January by becoming the youngest winner of a FUT Champions Cup at 16 years of age, seeing off formidable opponents such as ‘MsDossary’ and ‘Dani’ en route to lifting the trophy. By taking home one of the FUT Champions Cup titles this year he joined an exclusive club – ‘Tekkz’ and ‘MsDossary’ were the only other recipients during the FIFA 19 campaign.

‘MarcusGomes’ – Xbox #11

Representing the Rest of the World region once again at the FIFA eWorld Cup, ‘MarcusGomes’ has enjoyed a memorable year which saw him become an Australia international by representing the Socceroos at the FIFA eNations Cup. The Melbourne City player, who boasts plenty of tournament know-how, returns to the Grand Final after his last appearance in 2017.

‘Rafsou’ – Xbox #14

‘Rafsou’ makes a return to the FIFA eWorld Cup having went into last year’s competition as the Xbox Global Series Playoff runner-up. The Frenchman has demonstrated his tournament pedigree again in FIFA 19 by reaching the last eight of the ultra-competitive eChampions League, bowing out to eventual winner ‘Didychrislito’.

‘Zidane10’ – Xbox #15

A great season has been made all the more memorable for ‘Zidane10’ by claiming a place at the FIFA eWorld Cup. Helping Spain to the FIFA eNations Cup knockout stage was followed by securing a runners-up spot in Virtual LaLiga with club Las Palmas. He will once again be flying the flag for club and country, this time at The O2 in London on the biggest stage of them all.
